A dye fixing element comprising a polymer mordant, said polymer mordant containing at least one monomeric unit including at least one group derived from the class of tertiary amines, thioethers, aromatic 5-membered heterocyclic rings, hydrazides, hydrazones and polyarylphenols, and at least one quaternary ammonium group.
