Abstract
The present invention is directed to methods of preparing hydrophobically-terminated polysaccharide polymers. The methods utilized to prepare the hydrophobically-terminated polysaccharide polymers utilize water as the reaction solvent and do not any cosolvent. The invention is also directed to hydrophobically-terminated polysaccharide polymers which are useful as deflocculants in liquid detergent compositions and to the liquid detergent compositions which contain the hydrophobically-terminated polysaccharide polymers.
