Abstract
A developer cartridge for supplying developer to a developer receiving unit has a lid by which a developer discharge opening is opened/closed. If the cartridge is unloaded from the developer receiving unit when the lid is not at a predetermined position where the developer discharge opening is completely closed, the lid is engaged by an engagement portion of the developer receiving unit and is moved to the predetermined position.
