Abstract

Aryl halide, such as idodobenzene, is reacted with perfluoromethoxycarboxylate, such as CF.sub.3 OCF.sub.2 CO.sub.2 K, in the presence of CuI and an inert aprotic polar solvent to obtain trifluoromethylaryl.
