Abstract

The invention relates to a method of reacting alkyl carboxylate chlorides and/or carboxylic dichlorides dissolved in corresponding diaikyl carboxylates with the corresponding alkanol at temperatures ranging from 60.degree. to 300.degree. C., in which the resultant hydrogen chloride remains in the reaction mixture.
