Abstract

A resin composition having improved resistance to discoloration caused by exposure to light, which comprises (a) 5-95% by weight of a polyphenylene ether alone or in combination with a styrene polymer, (b) 95-5% by weight of a polyamide, and based on 100 parts by weight of the sum of (a) and (b), (c) 0.01-30 parts by weight of one or more agents to improve the compatibility of a polyphenylene ether and a polyamide, (d) 0-50 parts by weight of one or more agents to improve the impact resistance, and (e) 0.1-15 parts by weight of metal particles having 10 .mu.m or less of weight average particle size and 3 or more of aspect ratio, and 60% by weight or more of (e) metal particles being included in (b) a polyamide.
