Abstract
An apparatus and method enable any user of a digital copier to store and retrieve customized images of a relatively small size, such as, for example, logos or letterheads, for incorporation into larger document images. Customized logo images can be input using the copier RIS and stored for future use, or can be input from an external use such as, for example, a personal computer. Full size document images and logo images can be either merged or overwritten. The logo image storage capacity is increased over prior art systems through the use of an electronic memory card, a data storage disk, and/or a personal computer, either individually or in combination.
