Abstract
Compounds isolated from a marine sponge, and derivatives thereof, have the formulae: ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is H or lower alkyl; R.sup.2 is OH or CH.sub.3 ; R.sup.3 is OH or CH.sup.3, and R.sup.4 H or MPTA. The compounds have antitumor and antiviral activity. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds and methods of treatment employing them.
