Abstract
The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the control and prevention of helmintic, arthropod ectoparasitic and acaridal infections, in warm-blooded animals, such as meat-producing animals, and poultry, by administering to said animals a therapeutically or prophylactically-effective amount of new agents designated LL-F28249.alpha., .beta., .gamma., .delta., .epsilon., .xi., .eta., .theta., .iota., .kappa., .lambda., .mu., .upsilon. and .omega., or mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to methods for the control of plant nematode infestations and other insecticidal activities. These novel agents are produced via a controlled conditioned microbiological fermentation using Streptomyces cyaneogriseus ssp. noncyanogenus, designated LL-F28249 and having deposit accession number NRRL 15773.
