Abstract
A device that controls a color image processing apparatus receives color component signals representing an original, and extracts a pattern having a predetermined color from the original on the basis of the color component signals. The device determines whether the pattern includes a predetermined image registered in advance, and generates a control signal for controlling an image processing of the original on the basis of the determination result.
