Abstract
Process for the preparation of compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, X and n have the meaning given in the description, by reacting acetates with carbon monoxide in the presence of a basic auxiliary, followed by alkylation. The products are intermediates for fungicidal acrylates.
