Abstract
Provided is an ink comprising at least a dye and a liquid medium, the dye being represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein Y is a linear or branched alkyl group having 5 to 12 carbons; Z is a benzoyl group, a radical of the formula --SO.sub.2 C.sub.6 H.sub.5 or --SO.sub.2 C.sub.6 H.sub.4 --CH.sub.3, and M is an alkali metal or ammonium.
