Abstract
A dishwasher has a pump mounted in the lower end of the tub to have outlet tube extending upward above the bottom of the tub. A wire rack has a fixed tower mounted on the rack with a rotatable spray tower journalled inside. A rotatable spray arm is mounted on the outlet of the pump and is moveable vertically into and out of engagement with the rotatable spray tower, with a spray arm having a downwardly extending collar carrying a seal that slides vertically on the outlet tube, while the wash arm rotates about the seal.
