Abstract

Stabilizer compositions including specific mixed partial salts of a lower alkyl vinyl ether-maleic acid copolymer, the partial salts containing from about 15% to about 40% free acid, are disclosed. The cationic salt function is from about 0.1% to about 9.9% zinc or strontium cations, and from about 20% to about 67% calcium cations of the total initial carboxyl groups are reacted. Also disclosed are denture stabilizing compositions including a safe and adhesively effective amount of two or more denture adhesive components where one of the denture adhesive components is the above mixed partial salt.
