Abstract

An electrophotographic toner containing a compound of the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein X is a wherein A is an electron attractive group, and each of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 which are independent of each other, is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or a hydroxyl group, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together form a ring), ##STR2## wherein A, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined above), or ##STR3## wherein A, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined above), and Y is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group.
