Abstract
Fiber reactive dyes of the anthraquinone type which provide brilliant violet colors without metal complexing. These dyes may be represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein W is selected from NR.sub.2 and oxygen; R is independently selected from hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl; C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxy, sulfo and carboxy; R.sub.1 is selected from hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl and phenyl; R.sub.2 is selected from hydrogen and C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl; R.sub.3 is selected from hydrogen, and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; n is an integer of 1 or 2; and Y is CH.dbd.CH.sub.2, or CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Z wherein Z is a group capable of being split off by the action of an alkali reagent.
