Abstract

A viscoelastic gel microemulsion acidic composition having a complex viscosity at 100 sec.sup.-1 of about 0.01 to about 0.07 Pascal seconds, a G' value of about 0.8 to about 0.3 dynes/sq cm over a strain range of 0.001 to 0.4% and a G' value of about 0.06 to about 0.6 dynes/sq cm over a strain range of 0.001 to 0.1% which comprises approximately by weight 0.5 to 7 wt % of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of about 0.1 to about 8.0; 0.5 to 10.0 wt. percent of a sodium paraffin sulfonate 1 to 6 wt % of a polymeric thickener; 0.1 to 2.0 wt % of an aliphatic hydrocarbon or perfume having about 6 to about 22 carbon atoms; and the balance being water.
