Abstract

A propargyl ester compound of the formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy; Z is C.sub.5 -C.sub.10 alkylene which may be substituted with C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; and m is an integer of from 1 to 5; with the proviso that when m is an integer of 2 or more, the substituents represented by R.sup.1 may be the same or different; is incorporated into an acaricidal composition as an active ingredient, which can be used for controlling acarines.
