Abstract

A catalyst active in the preparation of ethylene homo and copolymers consists of a nickel complex bound to a polystyrene support and definable by the general formula (I): ##STR1## in which Ph, m and n have the meaning given in the description. The catalyst preparation and its use in ethylene polymerization and ethylene copolymerization with other unsaturated monomers are described.
