Abstract

A color developer is provided comprising a polyvalent metal salt of a salicylic derivative. The salicylic derivative is made up of ring-substituted salicylic compounds having one, two and three styrene units bonded to salicylic core where at least 25% of the salicylic derivatives are polyvalent metal salts.
