Abstract
Heat cured silicone rubber compositions which contain a potassium aluminosilicate filler exhibit improved resistance to hydrocarbon oils. The potassium aluminosilicate filler has an average surface area of between about 5.0 and about 6.50 m.sup.2 /g, an average particle diameter of between about 1.0 and about 20.0 micrometers, and an average particle thickness of between about 0.5 and 1.0 micrometers. The filler improves retention of physical properties and resistance to swelling in hot hydrocarbon oils in a wide variety of siloxane compositions.
