Abstract

Polymers containing a high percentage of vinyl alcohol units may be blended with copolymers of alkyl methacrylates and unsaturated organic acids, the copolymers prefereably containing an adhesion-promoting functionality, the blend preferably containing low levels of a plasticizer to improve melt flow, and the blends in molten form utilized as hot melt adhesives for the bonding of wood, paper, and other celulosic articles.
