Abstract

There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic material comprising at least one sparingly water-soluble epoxy compound represented by formula (I), (II), or (III) and a silver halide emulsion layer which comprises high-silver-chloride grains containing metal ions and/or having silver bromide localized phases on the surface thereof, and/or that have been sensitized by a gold compound: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 each represent a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a halogen atom; L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 each represent a divalent aliphatic group, which may be substituted or unsubstituted; M.sup.1 represents an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom; A represents a polyvalent linking group; a, b, and c each are an integer of 0 to 4; x and y each are an actual number of 0 to 20; l is 1 or 2; and m represents an integer of 2 to 4.
