Abstract
A nonaqueous secondary battery containing at least one metal oxide as a positive electrode active material, at least one metal oxide as a negative electrode active material, and an ion conductive electrolyte is disclosed, in which the positive electrode material mixture and/or the negative electrode material mixture contain(s) a binder selected from a carboxyl-modified styrene-butadiene copolymer, a polymer of formula (I) , and a polymer of formula (II): ##STR1##
