Abstract

An assay for determining patients either having Primary Open Angle Glaucoma or at risk of developing Primary Open Angle Glaucoma. The assay involves testing cells, preferably lymphocyte cells, for 3.alpha.-HSD activity and determining from the level of assayed activity whether the patient is either suffering from Primary Open Angle Glaucoma or at risk therefor.
