Abstract

This invention relates to a process for preparing perfluoroalkoxysulphonic compounds having formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.f represents a perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroethereal group, X represents F, OH or OM, in which M is an alkaline cation, an alkaline-earth cation, or X represents NR.sub.1 R.sub.2, in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, independently of each other, represent H or an alkyl group containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms and p is a number selected from 1 to 2, characterized in that the perfluoro vinyl sulphonyl fluoride of formula (II) CF.sub.2 =CF--SO.sub.2 F is reacted with a hypofluorite of formula (III):
