Abstract

A resin composition suitable for marking with a laser and a method for laser marking said resin are provided. The resin composition comprises a thermoplastic resin, one or more compounds selected from the group consisting essentially of (i) tetrazole compounds, and (ii) sulfonylhydrazide, nitroso and azo compounds having a decomposition temperature of at least 210.degree. C., and carbon black.
