Abstract
.alpha.-Aminocarboxylic acid derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## where n, X, Y and Z have the meanings stated in the description, and their preparation are described. The compounds are used in a method for improving delivery and reducing toxicity of biologically active substances by encapsulation of the biologically active substance with the above compounds.
