Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the preparation of low-template clathrasil, comprising heat-treating an alkaline aqueous silicate-containing medium containing crystallization seeds and an amount of a template such that the template content of the clathrasil, relative to the number of moles of the SiO.sub.2 of the medium, is less than 2 mol %.
