Abstract
The present invention relates to the composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity or water and a reaction product of at least one dimercaptothiadiazole or derivative thereof; and at least one aliphatic olefin or salt of the reaction product. These reaction products generally show an ability to improve antiwear (including extreme pressure) and antioxidant properties in lubricants.
