Abstract

There is disclosed a process for producing an iminothiazoline derivative of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is halogen, halo(lower)alkyl, halo(lower)alkoxy or halo(lower)alkylthio; R.sup.2 is hydrogen or halogen; and R.sup.4 is hydrogen or lower alkyl. This compound (I) can be obtained by cyclization of a thiourea derivative of the general formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 are each the same as defined above, and R.sup.3 is hydrogen or (lower)alkylcarbonyl optionally substituted with at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of halogen, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy.
