Abstract
The compounds of the present invention are deoxy disubstituted or dideoxy disubstituted derivatives of .alpha.-D-mannofuranoside and .beta.-L-gulofuranoside hexoses which exhibit anti-inflammatory and anti-proliferative activity. Pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds and methods of treating inflammatory and/or autoimmune disorders employing the compounds are disclosed.
