Abstract
There is disclosed a process for producing multicolor or tone-in-tone effects on natural and synthetic polyamide fiber material by subjecting flocks, slubbing, yarn or selected areas of piece goods to a plasma or corona discharge treatment before dyeing and subsequently dyeing the pretreated material with an anionic dye. Dyeings with very good differentiation of depth of shade on homogeneous polyamide fiber material are obtained by the process of this invention without the addition of resist agents or levelling agents.
