The hardened reactive silicone layer may further include a coupling agent, an ultraviolet cut-off pigment or a fine powder. The weather strip is prepared by applying the reactive silicone layer to the flock portion of the weather strip and curing the reactive silicone at a temperature of 80.degree.-150.degree. C. for 1-20 minutes.
