Abstract

In a method of making a heat exchanger having a heat exchanger network with a plurality of tubes and at least one base plate having a plurality of passages for tube ends, the passages in the base plate are triangular, and the tube ends are triangular prior to insertion into the base plate. The triangular tube ends are inserted into the triangular passages in the base plate and thereafter expanded to a tight fit.
