Abstract

A silver halide photographic material contains at least one hydrazine compound of formula (I): ##STR1## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, R.sub.1 and R.sub.3, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.4 each may be bonded to each other to form a non-aromatic ring; provided that the carbon atom of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 which is directly bonded to a nitrogen atom of the hydrazine core of the compound is not substituted by an oxo group. The material has a high sensitivity and does not tend to fog. After storage, depression of the sensitivity of the material is small.
