Abstract

An antifouling paint containing as an active component, in an amount of 5 to 100% by weight of the non-volatile of the paint, an alkylphenoxy group containing organo-silicon compound selected from an organo-silane, a bis-silyl compound and a polysiloxane, the alkyl being a straight or branched C.sub.7 to C.sub.12 alkyl of the formula: C.sub.x H.sub.2x+1 (in which x is 7 to 12) or a 1-methyl-1-phenylethyl group.
