Abstract
Disclosed are an image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording comprising: a support and an image receiving layer which contains a resin having dyeing affinity for a thermally diffusible dye provided thereon, wherein the support comprises a substrate and a laminated resin sheet which contains porous resin films each having a density in the range of 0.5 to 1.2 g/cm.sup.3 provided on both surfaces of the substrate, and a process for preparing the image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording, comprising: a step of pasting a substrate and a resin film with an adhesive to produce a laminated resin sheet used as the support.
