Abstract
An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising an electrically conductive support and a photosensitive layer formed thereon, wherein said photosensitive layer contains an arylamine compound of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein each of Ar.sup.1, Ar.sup.2, Ar.sup.3 and Ar.sup.4 which may be the same or different, is an aryl group which may have substituents, or a heterocyclic group which may have substituents, each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 which may be the same or different, is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, an alkyl group which may have substituents, an alkoxy group which may have substituents, or a phenyl group which may have substituents, and each of R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 which may be the same or different, is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group which may have substituents, or an alkoxy group which may have substituents.
