Abstract

This invention relates to a process for preparing synergistic derivatives of formula (I), in which Y is hydrogen or dimethylamino, from pristinamycin I.sub.A or from virginiamycin, via a Mannich base, followed by elimination of the amine introduced. ##STR1##
