Abstract
Disclosed is a silver halide color photographic material having at least one light-sensitive emulsion layer on a support, in which at least 50%, as the total projected area, of all the silver halide grains in at least one light-sensitive emulsion layer are tabular grains having a mean aspect ratio of 2 or more and at least one layer constituting the material contains a coupler of the following formula (I) and/or a coupler of the following formula (II): ##STR1## where X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 each represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group; X.sup.3 represents an organic residue forming a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group along with >N-- in the formula; Y represents an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; and Z represents a group capable of being released from the formula when the coupler of the formula reacts with an oxidation product of a developing agent.
