Abstract

Composition for promoting healing containing, as a healing agent, nonionic vesicles obtained from a lipid mixture containing at least one nonionic lipid having the formula; ##STR1## wherein R is either at least one C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 radical, or R'CO wherein R' is at least one C.sub.15 -C.sub.17 alkyl radical, in combination with cholesterol and, optionally, dicetylphosphate or tetracetylphospate. This composition can be used topically to accelerate the scarring of wounds.
