Abstract

A composition comprising a first component including a compound comprising at least two acetoacetate groups, and a second component including a compound comprising at least two groups which will react with an acetoacetate group, at least one of which is an aromatic aldimine group having a relatively low reactivity with water when compared with its reactivity with an acetoacetate group. The components may be premixed in water prior to application. The invention further includes a product comprising a cured blend of the two components. The product of the invention is usually a coating or film.
