Abstract

The invention concerns a method of treatment and prophylaxis of depression and stress by means of a phenylethanolaminotetralin of formula (I) ##STR1## wherein A is a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkylene radical and R represents a hydrogen atom or a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
