Abstract
Disclosed is a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one of green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers contains at least one of magenta couplers represented by Formula M-I and at least one of compounds capable of releasing a development inhibitor or a precursor of a development inhibitor, upon reaction with oxidized products of a development agent, represented by Formula D-I; ##STR1## wherein Z represents a group consisting of a non-metal atoms necessary to form a nitrogen containing heterocyclic ring, provided, the ring formed by the Z may have a substituent; X represents a hydrogen atom or a group releasable upon reaction with an oxidized product of a color developing agents; and R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent, ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group, R.sub.2 represents an alkyl group or an aryl group, R.sub.3 represents an oxycarbonyl group, a sulfonamido group, a carbamoyl group, an acylamino group, an ureido group, an oxycarbonylamino group, a sulfonyloxy group, a carbonyloxy group or a sulfamoyl group, Rrepresents a substituent; n is an integer of 0 to 3; X represents a group capable of releasing a development inhibitor or a precursor upon formation of ortho quinonemethide when released by a coupling to an oxidized product of a color developing agent. A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is improved in sensitivity, image quality, exposure latitude, process variation and color reproducibility.
