Abstract
A rubber article having a fiber reinforcement embedded therein. The reinforcement comprises a cylindrically braided cord of an even number of twisted yarns of four or more, an equal number having an twist, i.e. twisted to the right, and a Z-twist, i.e. twisted to the left. The angle difference between a first twisting angle of a yarn and a final twisting angle of the cylindrically braided cord is set at less than 10.degree..
