Abstract
In the crimping process the yarns (1) are introduced continuously into a crimping machine (3) in which they are subjected to a compression which has the effect of crimping them. Before being introduced into the crimping machine (3) the yarns (1) are subjected to a presteaming operation in a chamber (6). Use especially for improving the bulk of the yarns before they are crimped.
