Abstract

A silicon-containing polyacetal copolymer comprises silicone oil units having the formula (A) and polyacetal units: ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is an alkyl or phenyl group; R.sub.2 is a divalent organic group; X is a group selected from among --NH.sub.2, --OH, ##STR2## --R.sub.4 OH, --R.sub.5 COOH, --R.sub.6 COOR.sub.7, --R.sub.8 and OR.sub.9, where R.sub.3 is a divalent organic group, R.sub.4 .about.R.sub.6 are alkylene groups having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R.sub.7 .about.R.sub.9 alkyl groups having 1 to 10 carbon atoms 1.about.10, and n is a number between 5.about.1000.
