Abstract

A liquid developer contains a liquid carrier, a halogenated charge director and toner particles. Preferably, the charge director contains a fluorinated portion and a hydrocarbon portion. The charge director provides a developer which is fully charged but has a very small residual conductivity, thus providing a high quality image.
