Abstract
A thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a base film and an ink layer comprising at least a heat transferable colorant and a binder resin, formed on one side of the base film, wherein the binder resin is a phenoxy resin having repeating structural units of the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is a bivalent group represented by ##STR2## --O--, --S--, --SO-- or --SO.sub.2 --, each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group, R.sup.3 is an alkylene group, and each of benzene rings A and B may have an alkyl group or a halogen atom as a substituent.
